Dr. Mary B AdamsPrivate General Practitioner Health is wealth. True wealth is not just material gain but a combination of mental and physical well being together with our talents, inner resources and spirituality that combine to form our intrinsic worth and real prosperity. I believe in a holistic approach of both medical care and lifestyle fitness in helping my patients achieve success. For this reason, I profile my patient’s nutrition and exercise (quantity and quality) as part of their health care. This is now being facilitated by a link with Chris Rushton, personal trainer, at Rendezvous Leisure club and swimming pool, Skipton. This enables me to refer people with existing medical problems who require increased fitness or rehabilitation as part of their overall health care. In addition , I refer well people who need an exercise programme for health and risk modification.
